A good friend of mine Steve Hall (no relation) and free lance car photographer shared a few of his choice setups when shooting cars and I combined a few different lighting techniques to get this image and create a sparkle effect by adding some directional rim light on the wheel arches.
It was tough deciding whether to leave the flash in frame at the top left or not. Finally I decided to retain the light source and lens flare as I thought it would look too staged otherwise. Let me know your thoughts as it’s my first attempt at car photography.
